What is the IDRC?
The Intoxicated Driver Resource Center is a 12 hour psycho-educational program, presented over the course of two days.
Who is it for?
The IDRC program is designed for individuals convicted of an alcohol- or drug -related traffic or boating offense in the State of New Jersey.
Participants must satisfy the requirements set forth by the State Intoxicated Driving Program (IDP) and the Intoxicated Driver Resource Center (IDRC) as outlined in Statute N.J.A.C. 10:162.
What is its mission?
Our mission is to educate and screen a DUI offender. As a result of the screening process, the individual may be referred for an additional assessment at an outside agency. The purpose of this assessment is to determine the individual's risk for re-offending. This may lead to a referral for additional treatment. The Mercer County IDRC will continue to monitor treatment, for up to one year, until is determined that the client is no longer at risk.
